Zumbathon

How many people love their job?!!?  Not many, I take it.  I, however, are not one of those people.  This was confirmed for me after this weekend’s Zumbathon.  For me, work is more than work.

I am not one of those people who would not be satisfied in a 9-5 job, crunching numbers, always trying to reach a bottom line.  I need to have purpose in what I do, I need it to count!  Exercise, as we know is a passion of mine.  Teaching people how to move better is something I enjoy to do on a daily basis.  This weekend, we did exercise for a cause.  Wave House hosted a Zumbathon to raise money for breast cancer.  We had four amazing instructors teach over 50 people how to dance and move for over 2 hours!  I watched the interaction among the participants.  The energy was higher in the room than any fitness class I have ever been in.  It was amazing to see people work together, helping to not only benefit their lives from the workout, but someone else’s as well.  Exercise was selfless this weekend.  Something I had not yet experienced in my fitness career.  What I witnessed has now given me the drive to want to continue to combine these 2 passions; exercise and charity events, to continue to impact people in some way, every day.
